CE European Certification for Health & Safety
The CE is a mandatory conformity symbol required for products sold in the European Economic Area. The CE mark indicates that the product conforms to the legal requirements of the EU with respect to safety, health and consumer protection.
The RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC also known as the “Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive” restricts of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. This directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials (lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants) in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment which is destined for placement on the EU market.
